January; 26, 27, 28 (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)
Where to go: A fantastic beach namely DIU which lies hidden in plain sight. Best time to visit from Oct to April, this republic day weekend is perfect days to enjoy the beauty. It’s a small town situated on an island off the south coast of Gujrat and is having spectacular architecture make it ideal.
February: 10, 11, 12, 13(Saturday, Sunday, Monday (take leave), Tuesday)
Where to go: Beautiful Goa, the party capital of our country, is always crowded throughout the winter season as a tourist from around the world come to warm beaches, night outs party. Make most of these long weekends of 2018 and explore the sights of Goa through different places.
March: 1, 2, 3,4,(Thursday, Friday – Holi, Saturday, Sunday)
Where to go: Plan for Havelock island, one of the most beautiful parts of Andaman’s. The stunning underwater life makes it a favorite destination for tourist in all of South Asia. To know more about planning Havelock, I will be back soon.
March: 29,30,31,1(Mahashivaratri Thursday, Friday – good Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Where to go: Plan for Srinagar to marvel at the cultural wonder of Dal lake, with floating gardens that feed the populations. Shankaracharya Mandir, Hazratbal dargah, and chashme shah. The lake serves as a flood lung of the life-giving Jhelum river flows through Kashmir valley. During severe winter this lake freeze, and delivers the surface for a sport called ice hockey.
April: 27- Take leave, 28 Saturday, 29 Sunday, 30- Buddha Purnima,1 Mayday
Where to go: Make use of this superb weekend of 2018 by climbing to the Khuppar top in the valley of Himachal.Take an overnight bus to Simla, then local bust to Kharapathar or Giri Ganga. The trek starts at Giri Ganga and can take approx. 5-6 hours as per your speed. To reach Giri Ganga, you can use either trek from kharapathar or drive directly from Shimla. Follow the road until you get thick forest at Giri Ganga then make your way to reach the top.
June: 15- Idul fitar, 16 Saturday, 17 Sunday
Where to go: Its time to go to Tirthan valley, which is situated near Aut. A village in the high Himalayan national park. To reach Tirthan from Delhi, you need to take a bus going to Manali and get down to Art. From there regular buses available between Gushaini, Banjar & Jibhi. You can either stay at an apple orchard, go hiking or embark on a trek in great Himalayan or go for fishing in Tirthan river.
August: 15, 16-take leave, 17- Parsi new year, 18, 19 Saturday, Sunday
Where to go: Its time to explore and enjoy the beauty of Munnar. Anamudi Shola national park, located just 9-19 km from the town Munnar, Is a treasure trove experience and adventure of nature. While you are roaming there just visit banks of Pambar river flows through the national park and a fabulous waterfall of Thoovanan. Similar waterfalls can also be seen near trek from karimutti forest station. A trek through the forest offers so many spots of wildlife and rare flora.
August: 22- Idul, 23- Take leave, 24- Onam, 25, 26 – Saturday-Sunday.
Where to go: Amazing romantic destination called shillong Scotland of the east, its beauty can be seen in its beautiful architecture and the cuisine found on most menus. Beautiful Umiam, is a human-made lake also known as Barapani, the most popular places to visit. The wards lake is another fantastic creation and tourist attraction mainly for boat rides. The waterfall crowding in a beautiful city – sweet, bishop, & Elephant falls play a significant role in tourism.
September: 1, 2 – Saturday – Sunday, 3- Janmashtami.
Where to go: At the height of Kalsubai peak in Sahyadri ranges to trek near Mumbai, which is located in Ahmednagar and Nashik border in Bhandardara region. The mountain named after the Kalsubai temple which is a fantastic attraction for pilgrims to this. The route is easy and approx. 4-5 hours from Mumbai and trek can take approx. 4 hours are making it perfect destination for this weekend.
October: 29, 30- Saturday, Sunday, 1 – take leave, 2 – Gandhi Jayanti
Where to go: The trail of Madhya Pradesh start from temples of Khajuraho, goes through Orchha and end to Jhansi. The kingdom of Jhansi where Rani laxmibai hailed from to the temple complex to Matanga, the Hindu god of Love. An unusual and different experience is available there.
November: 3,4 Saturday, Sunday, 5-11, Diwali vacation end up a weekend.
Where to go: Its time to relax and rejuvenate in Nepal and Myanmar, the magical country of Bhutan. Even though Bhutan offers a variety things to do for travelers, Is the way to go to soak in the serenity of the air of Himalayan kingdom. Make the most extended weekend of 2018 by visiting this place.
December: 22,23 Saturday, Sunday, 24-Take Leave, 25 Christmas.
Where to go: Now its time to go Leh, Ladakh- Hailing the thrill-seeking trekkers.The crystal blue ice and hills on backdrop will make you speechless. The only ice trek in India is incredible. Fantastic adventure trek chadar namely- Sham treks, like to Chalet trek and Samboo to Khalsa. Don’t worry about cold take a cup of hot chocolate or coffee and go for a lifetime adventure in the God’s paradise.
In a trip of 2 or 3 days, you explore most amazing places nearby; can have recreational activities, shopping, adventure and peace and many more. Travelling becomes easy because of being different means of transport like a road as well as train and air.
