Football is the most popular sport in Moscow city. It is home to some of the famous football clubs like CSKA Moscow that has made its mark in the European Champions League over the years.  Moscow’s obsession with soccer will intensify as the FIFA world cup 2018 has already made a grand opening a few days ago.  It is likely that thousands of fans will travel to this city this summer. Hence, you can expect an electrifying atmosphere.

It is safe :

If you have famed your idea about Moscow’s football culture by receiving information from the Western Press, then you need to give a second thought. If you are assuming that, the city is home to football hooligans bent on beating up foreign fans all under the nose of corrupt police officers, then you are making a big mistake.  What the truth is traveling to Moscow is just like moving to any other popular destination in Europe.  The civic administration of Moscow has made it clear that no acts of violence or hooliganism will be tolerated during World Cup.

It is easier than ever to visit Moscow :

The concerned authorities are duly committed to making the tournament a memorable experience for the fans. With this objective in mind, Moscow’s stringent travel bureaucracy has significantly been reduced for the enthusiastic fans. Generally, tourists coming to Russia usually undergo a lengthy and frustrating visa and registration process. Though, if you are one of those lucky ones to bag a ticket to the stadium, then you will be given a Fan ID instead. This will render you the privilege of visa-free travel over the course of the tournament.  You can purchase tickets and Fan ID online that will give you the much-needed relief from the hassle of travelling to the nearest Russian embassy and wait in long queues.

Ease of transportation :

The 2018 World Cup Transportation Directorate has announced free train travel between host cities for all Fan ID holders. This generous step from Russian Railways will help the fans to enjoy the tournament without stretching their pocket too much. Admittedly, this makes journey to-and-fro between Moscow and other host cities comfortable with the inclusion of overnight sleeper cabins to passengers.  No doubt this year’s world cup matches in Moscow will prove to be the most convenient and celebrated public event for European Fans since its last edition that was held in Germany way back in 2006. Getting into Moscow takes just an hour by flight from other EU countries.

Moscow loves to put on a show :

Russia exhibited its worth as a host in the winter Olympics at Sochi. Likewise, Moscow will use this tournament as a platform to impress the world. The Russian authorities have sanctioned $10.8 billion, and President Vladimir Putin has already promised that the competition will be held at the highest standards.  This apart, Moscow has always been famous for its famous circus shows. So if you have 2-3 days time in your hand visiting some of the elite circuses like Great Moscow State Circus, Nikulin Moscow Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard will undoubtedly give you a good time.

It is more than just soccer :

Many fans in the course of the FIFA world cup will experience heartbreak as only one team will win the tournament. Hence, the city of Moscow has made sufficient arrangements to ensure that you have a great time of the pitch too. Luckily, Moscow has many places of attractions to enchant the visiting fans packed with entertainment, scenic beauty, and culture. In this regard, remark could make to the Moscow Kremlin, which is Russia’s main attraction.

Summer is delightfully pleasant in Moscow :

Everyone knows that winter’s in Moscow are harsh, long, and freezing. Thankfully, this year’s FIFA World Cup will be held in summer season temperature in the city will be around 26 degree Celsius. You are better at bringing your shades.  To make most of these delightful weather one can pay a visit to fun-filled places like the old Moscow Zoo, and Moskvarium Center of Oceanography and Marine Biology.

Enjoy living the big city life :

Moscow is indeed a unique city in the face of the planet where old meets new- a land of thousand conveniences, buzzing but at the same time calm and easy to navigate. This city is home to some of the heritage theaters and museum of fine arts.  A visit to the Gogol Center theatre, Grand Hall of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Pyotr Fomenko Workshop Theater is undoubtedly worthwhile.

Hospitable people :

People in Moscow are kind and helpful. If you are pursuing an activity like watching soccer or if you need directions you can freely approach them for help.       We hope your visit to Moscow and football love gives the fantastic experience of enjoying sports and vacation simultaneously. Make sure you visit as much as possible to experience unbeatable memories of your lifetime. Plan your trip and do share your experience with us through comments, we would love to share your reviews.
